The FirePAY Restaurant POS system allows staff members to use fingerprint authentication for secure and efficient access. This eliminates the need for passcodes, improves speed during busy shifts, and ensures that all transactions are accurately tied to the correct employee.

Follow the steps below to enroll and verify fingerprints for your team members.


Step 1: Open the FirePAY App and Select Fingerprint

From the FirePAY POS Home Screen, open the app and tap
Fingerprint
This will launch the fingerprint setup interface where staff enrollments are managed.


Step 2: Select “Open Device”

Next, choose Open Device to connect the FirePAY POS system with the built-in or external fingerprint reader.
Ensure the fingerprint device is properly connected to your POS terminal before continuing.


Step 3: Enroll Fingerprint

Select Enroll Fingerprint and follow the on-screen instructions.
Place the employee’s finger on the sensor as prompted. The system may request multiple scans to capture all necessary fingerprint data for accuracy.

Tip: Use a clean, dry finger and ensure the sensor surface is free of dust or oil for best results.


Step 4: Verify Fingerprint

Once enrollment is complete, the system will ask you to verify the fingerprint.
Have the staff member scan their fingerprint again to confirm that the stored print matches correctly.

Successful verification confirms that the fingerprint is ready for use during login, clock-in/out, and secure transaction functions.


Step 5: Record Fingerprint Number in Back Office

After enrollment, note the Fingerprint Number displayed on-screen.
Record this number under the employee’s profile in the FirePAY Back Office system.
This ensures the fingerprint is properly linked to the correct staff member for reporting, time tracking, and security purposes.
